Gold Cup Results and Standings 2021

Known for crowning the best national team in Central America, North America, and the Caribbean regions, the 2021 Gold Cup has its group stage verdicts. The first two teams in every stage have qualified for the single-elimination knockouts.

Qatar, which participated as a special team from Asia, booked a spot in the quarterfinal after finishing on top of Group D following their triumph over Honduras. The other seven quarterfinal slots will go to national teams that will be participating in the World Cup berth set to kick off in September.

These seven national teams include Mexico, which will be defending its 2019 title, and the U.S, which is expected to be a major challenger to El Tri for their title. The single-elimination quarterfinals will lead to the semifinals before the culmination of the event with the Championship game for 1St August in Las Vegas. At this point, even some of the best teams didn’t survive the group stage, with some cut out by the tiebreakers included in the tournament regulations:

  • Fewest disciplinary points
  • Drawing of lots

2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Standings

Mexico and El Salvador dominated Group A with seven and six points respectively, booking their spot in the single-elimination quarterfinals. El Tri emerged at the top of Group A following their triumph over El Salvador and Guatemala with a draw against Trinidad & Tobago in the group stage. The 2019 defending champions will face Honduras in the quarterfinals, while El Salvador faces the special guest team from Asia, Qatar.

Both Qatar and Honduras dominated group D with seven and six points respectively, booking their spots to the quarter-finals. On the other hand, the US (9 points) and Canada (6 points) dominated group B and are set to face Group C winners Jamaica (6 points) and Costa Rica (9 points) in the quarterfinals. The quarter finals will kick off on Saturday 24th July and end on 25th ahead of the semifinal games scheduled for Thursday 29th July.

In the US, Fox is airing all 31 games live on FOX (One game), FS1 (24 games), and FS2 (Six games. You can also enjoy all the action on the FOX Sports app if you’re an authenticated subscriber. Univision is also offering Spanish-language coverage for the 31 games across its network. That includes Univision (16 games), TUDN (27 games), UniMas (10 games), and Galavision (four games). Additionally, the games will be available online through for authenticated subscribers and the TUDN app.

In Canada, OneSoccer will be airing all 2021 Gold Cup matches, including a pre-match and post-match coverage for every game featuring the Canadian national team throughout the competition.
